Four distinct China business paths

Choose the service that matches the work you actually need

Start with a bounded decision product, then move into an authorized or exclusive distribution mandate only when the market, company and brand opportunity justify it. Sourcing and Chinese-brand channel development remain separate engagements.

China Product & Brand Advisory

Pay for a defined decision outcome

Start with a free fit check. Paid advisory answers a bounded product, brand, supplier or sourcing question; it does not purchase brand contacts, territory rights or a guaranteed introduction.

01

Product, brand or route match

China Match Brief

A compact comparison for a buyer who needs a credible shortlist and a recommended route.

  • Three to five candidate options
  • Fit, evidence and route comparison
  • MOQ, price and compliance unknowns identified
  • Risks and recommended path
  • No supplier outreach or rights negotiation
Fixed feeUS$590
02

Complex commercial problem

Problem-Solving Sprint

A bounded investigation for a sourcing, supply, quality, channel or delivery problem that needs evidence and options.

  • Problem definition and evidence review
  • Two to three viable resolution paths
  • Trade-offs, risks and recommendation
  • Prioritized action plan
  • One core problem per written scope
Starting fromUS$1,800

These products help you evaluate options. They are not a shortcut to a Specific Brand Representation Project and do not sell introductions or contact lists.

Brand Distribution Partnerships

A transparent fee ladder for high-value representation work

The free eligibility check only determines fit. Research, formal representation, negotiation and launch support are separate paid stages with defined outcomes.

Start the free eligibility check
01

Decision before representation

Distribution Opportunity Assessment

Market gap, current channels, brand route, applicant capability, first-order economics and the evidence needed to proceed or stop.

  • Named brand and one target market
  • Channel and authorization evidence
  • Commercial gaps and risk decision
Typical scopeUS$1,500–3,000
02

Ordinary or authorized rights

Authorized Distributor Mandate

Applicant dossier, decision-maker research, approved brand approach, meeting coordination and initial commercial negotiation for a defined brand and market.

  • Usually a 90-day mandate
  • One paying principal
  • No promise of authorization
Typical mandateUS$7,500–15,000
03

Conditional exclusive rights

Exclusive Distribution Mandate

A territory, product-line or channel-specific proposal with purchase, launch, marketing, reporting and after-sales commitments.

  • Exclusivity is granted only by the brand
  • Rights should be earned through milestones
  • Launch fee plus success fee
Launch feeUS$15,000–30,000
04

Complementary brand portfolio

Multi-Brand Portfolio Mandate

For a qualified local operator seeking several non-conflicting Chinese brands in one country or channel.

  • Portfolio logic and conflict review
  • Separate evidence and approval per brand
  • Separate success milestone per brand
Launch feeUS$25,000–50,000
Indicative success-fee formula

The higher of US$15,000 or 3%–5% of the first-year minimum purchase commitment, normally capped at US$50,000.

The default success milestone requires both an executed distribution agreement with defined rights and a verified first paid order. Meetings, replies and unsigned proposals do not count as success.

Post-signing Market Launch Management is typically US$3,000–6,000 per month. Professional fees and separately approved reimbursable expenses are confirmed in writing before paid work begins.

Distribution rights are earned in stages

Start with a credible route, then earn broader rights through performance

A new applicant should not assume permanent nationwide exclusivity. Brands normally evaluate a narrower product, channel or territory scope before expanding the relationship.

  1. 01

    Trial reseller

Test product, channel, compliance and service readiness without an exclusivity claim.

  2. 02

    Authorized distributor

Define approved products, channels, territory and responsibilities in writing.

  3. 03

    Conditional exclusivity

Tie limited exclusivity to purchase, launch, marketing, reporting and after-sales milestones.

  4. 04

    Renewed exclusivity

Extend rights only after verified sell-through, service quality and contract performance.

China Sourcing & Export

Source a product without forcing a brand-distribution process

Supplier search, quotations, samples, factory checks, inspection, OEM or ODM, export and shipping are scoped around the product and destination. This path is not a distributorship application.

Open the sourcing brief
01

First or complex orders: 5%–8%

Calculated on the agreed supplier invoice value, with a minimum ChinaBrandPath service fee of US$500 per order.

02

Repeat orders: 3%–4%

Available when the same supplier, product and operating scope materially reduce the work and risk.

03

Fees and expenses stay separate

Product value, freight, duties, inspection, laboratory, travel, legal and other third-party costs remain separately approved and documented.

Chinese Brand International Distributor Development

Recruit and screen international distributors for a Chinese brand

This path is for Chinese brand clients. It covers partner criteria, screening, country-market development and business coordination after an initial review.

Discuss international distributor development
01

Distributor recruitment

Present a clear partner proposition and collect structured international enquiries.

02

Distributor screening

Review company strength, channels, experience, service capability and investment fit.

03

Country development

Define priority markets, partner types and a controlled first-stage outreach plan.

A transparent engagement

How an engagement begins

  1. 01

    Choose the path

Use the brief that matches discovery, a named brand, sourcing or Chinese-brand channel development.

  2. 02

    Human review

We review completeness and fit. Internal scoring, if used, only assists that review.

  3. 03

    Confirm the scope

Paid work starts only after deliverables, exclusions, timeline, fees and expenses are agreed in writing.

  4. 04

    Decide what comes next

Review the agreed deliverable, then stop, request more evidence or proceed under a new written scope.

Service boundaries

Clear scope protects both sides

  • ChinaBrandPath is an independent platform. Unless explicitly stated, it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized representative of listed brands.
  • A profile, consultation or recommendation does not guarantee territory availability, approval, exclusivity or a successful agreement.
  • The brand or supplier makes the final commercial decision. Official quotations and terms must be confirmed by that party.
  • Professional fees are separated from approved travel, inspection, laboratory, legal, sample, freight and other third-party expenses.
  • ChinaBrandPath normally acts for one paying principal in each mandate. Any compensation from both sides requires written disclosure and consent.
  • Product compliance, contracts, customs clearance and partner performance remain the responsibility of the relevant contracting parties.
  • Published prices are indicative in US dollars, exclude taxes and approved third-party expenses, and do not replace the signed proposal for a specific engagement.
